Its very first project was at that time the largest national IT project – computerizing the billing system of the national telephone carrier, using state-of-the–art hardware and software (Burroughs/Unisys mainframes and 4GL software with Structured Systems design and implementation). The system worked flawlessly without major revision for over 15 years, proving the quality of the delivered product. BC Computers also pioneered, during this project, the provision of 24x7 support and maintenance in Sri Lanka.
